Broken Rib Baby Blankey

This is a small baby blanket made from worsted weight cotton/fleece yarn in a broken rib pattern stitch. It was gifted with some accessories for a friends baby shower.

Needles: size 5.5 mm

CO 111
5 rows garter stitch

Then work in pattern until desired length is reached. I did 13.5 inches in grey and 13.5 inches in yellow. Please make sure to change colours on row 1 in the pattern.

Pattern
Row 1: knit every stitch
Row 2: *k3 p3* until the end of the row

5 rows of garter stitch before casting off

Copy Cowl


While shopping at H&M one day- I saw a beautiful, yet simple cowl and decided to try to make it. It was the easiest cowl ever. 

Using a worsted weight yarn like Ilama or Silk (something very drapey) and size 5mm needles
CO 90 stitches (the taller you want the cowl the more you cast on)
Knit in garter stitch until the piece measures 24 inches
COff loosely
Sew together
